Business executives, entrepreneurs, climate scientists, and students from across the country will converge in Asheville this spring for Climate City Expo 2019, a conference that explores innovative climate solutions and business opportunities.
Climate City Expo (CCx) 2019 is a project of The Collider, a nonprofit innovation center in Asheville, N.C. that empowers climate data entrepreneurs who help communities and economies become resilient to a changing climate.
Katharine K. Wilkinson is a writer, speaker, and strategist whose work aims to explore, amplify, and invigorate action to address climate change. She is VP of Communication & Engagement at Project Drawdown, where she is advancing the organization’s message, reach, and influence around the world. She was lead writer for the New York Times bestseller “Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming.” The book details the 100 most substantive climate solutions and, in so doing, paints a vision of what is possible. Her expertise has been featured in programs on The Weather Channel, by Aspen Ideas, Skoll World Form, Talks @ Google, TEDWomen, and on numerous radio shows and podcasts.
