Join the Creation Care Alliance and MountainTrue for our Annual Gathering where our members come together to share in celebration of our mutual commitment to keeping Western North Carolina a beautiful place to live, work and play. This year we will focus on MountainTrue’s history of successfully advocating for better policies and management of our mountain environment – from our Cut the Clearcutting campaign back in the 80s to our current efforts to encourage the City of Asheville to commit to using 100% renewable energy for their municipal operations. As we look ahead this fall to the release of the proposed forest management plan for the Pisgah and Nantahala National Forests and also a design plan for the I-26 Connector Project, we hope you’ll stand with us to ensure these plans keep our forest and urban communities resilient and sustainable for the future! This event is free to all MountainTrue members and all are welcome to contribute $30 to become a member and join us for the event.
