Urban Forest Workshop
May 18, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Free
Black Mountain Presbyterian Fellowship Hall 117 Montreat Road
Interactive Workshop led by Ed Macie of Asheville Greenworks.
Mr. Macie is an Urban Forester, retired after a career including 25 years as the Southern Region Urban Forestry Manager with the US Forest Service. This workshop will open discussion about an Urban Forest Plan for Black Mountain: can we form a plan to protect our trees as Black Mountain grows and develops? No special expertise is required – we hope to draw a good cross- section of citizens … retirees, faith leaders, young adults, business people, civic leaders, renters, homeowners, builders, and creation care advocates.
The workshop is free, but space is limited. Please register by contacting:
