Common Ground Film Screening

April 13 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Jackson county folks! Don’t miss this film being offered TWICE in your community thanks to our newest covenant partner congregation, Cullowhee United Methodist Church!

The first showing will be at 3:00 pm on April 13th in the Community Room on the Jackson County Public Library. The second showing will be at Cullowhee United Methodist Church at 7:00 pm on April 22nd. We hope you’ll attend one of these events to learn about ways to invest in the health of our food system and meet others in your community invested in caring for creation.

About the film: Common Ground is the highly anticipated sequel to the juggernaut success documentary, Kiss the Ground, which touched over 1 billion people globally and inspired the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) to put $20 billion toward soil health. By fusing journalistic expose’ with deeply personal stories from those on the front lines of the food movement, Common Ground exposes the powers at play damaging our food system and the farmers who feed us while introducing us to a hopeful movement made up of white, black, and indigenous farmers who are using alternative “regenerative” models of agriculture that could balance the climate, save our health, and stabilize America’s economy – before it’s too late.
