Remembrance: Honoring Creation, Land and Community. An Earth Day Musical Event supporting Creation Care Alliance in Asheville, NC 4/22

April 22 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Alexander Chapel United Methodist Church is pleased to announce a special Earth Day musical event featuring Appalachian musical artist Murphy Campbell.

This community event is free and open to all. In the spirit of Earth Day and faithful stewardship of creation, there will be an opportunity to make a voluntary monetary donation to support the work of the MountainTrue’s Creation Care Alliance, an organization dedicated to protecting and preserving the natural beauty and environmental health of our mountain communities.

Murphy Campbell is nationally recognized, known throughout Western North Carolina for her heartfelt blend of traditional Appalachian folk, mountain ballads, and acoustic storytelling music rooted in the rich musical heritage of our region. Her performances weave together guitar, vocals, and narrative song in a way that honors the land, community, and shared human experience. Drawing from Appalachian traditions while offering fresh interpretations, Murphy’s music reflects themes of creation, resilience, and connection — making it a meaningful celebration of Earth Day.

Come invite a friend, neighbor, or family member as we celebrate creation together through music and community.  Children are welcome!!
