This Here Flesh: Our Pick of the Summer
This summer, we invite you to join us in reading This Here Flesh: Spirituality, Liberation, and the Stories that Make Us by the founder of Black Liturgies, Cole Arthur Riley.
Unlike past book studies, we will not have weekly meetings to discuss the text and will instead read at our own pace over the course of the summer. On Sunday August 11th, we’ll gather in-person in the Asheville-area from 4-6 pm for a discussion of our learnings in addition to a time of community and fellowship! Let us know you’re coming at this link. Specific location details coming soon!
If you can’t make our in-person gathering, we will also meet on Zoom on the evening of Thursday, August 15th, from 7-8:30 pm. To register for our online conversation, click here.
No matter what, get yourself a copy of this beautiful book. Even if you can’t join us in August, it’s a meaningful and transformative read with something to say to all of us. And we look forward to seeing those of you who can connect with us later this summer! Happy reading!
