Implement sustainable practices and purchase eco-friendly products as supplies need replacing
Suggested Practices and Examples for Implementation:
- As cleaning products run out, purchase eco-friendly products in their place.
- Talk with congregational staff and community members about this switch and how it benefits their health and place of worship.
- Encourage community members to make these changes in their own homes, if they are able, and provide tips/information/resources for them to do so.
- Host an event at which community members learn about and make their own green cleaning supplies to take home and use (this could be a free, paid, or donation-based event).
- Look for clean and minimal-waste products to incorporate in your own home (like laundry sheets, dishwasher tablets, etc).
