Research environmentally friendly cleaning supplies and practices
Suggested Practices and Examples for Implementation:
- Given what you’ve learned from your audit, loop into alternative products for those that are not clean/non-toxic, or earth-friendly.
- Vinegar is a great basic cleaner!
- Research where to purchase sustainable, fairtrade, toxic-free, and/or environmentally friendly products online and in your local community.
- Many farmer’s markets and similar local cooperatives offer non-toxic cleaning supplies. Prioritize shopping locally where and when you can!
- An option for ordering online is Grove Collaborative.
- Read online about what other places of worship are doing to practice green cleaning.
- Draw upon the knowledge of community members who know about or practice green cleaning.
